In September 2021, we introduced SheepMaster sheep semen to our flock. Despite some delays due to Covid-19, we successfully inseminated our ewes in 2022. The results were remarkable. One of the stand out features of the SheepMaster is its shedding ability, without compromising early growth. This quality is especially vital for us, given our dry environment where early lamb growth is essential. The SheepMaster breed also showcased superior foot health and greater resistance to worm infestations. Our scanning success rate reached an impressive 98% in 2023, even in the face of disruptions caused by a cyclone. The breed also outperformed previous trials with a higher percentage of twin lambs.
